Simple Life Hack for Emotional Balance

"Mental health, suicide prevention needs greater attention during pandemic,”

a WHO headline warns the world in an official blog post published on 2021.

Here is a quick list of tips to help us and our loved ones to not only avoid

falling into this dreadful situation, but also become an exuberant life."

    • Put Things into Perspective Just see that in the larger perspective of life, you are a tiny speck of dust. In this cosmos, our galaxy is a small happening. In the Milky Way, this solar system is a speck. In that tiny speck, planet Earth is a super-tiny speck. In that, your city is a micro-tiny speck. In that speck, you are a big man! People have lost perspective of who and what they are. A spiritual process means even if you cannot experientially see it, at least to intellectually understand your place in this existence. This is the simplest thing to get. If you get this much, a new possibility is open – you will walk differently, sit differently, breathe differently and experience life differently.

    • Getting High on Your Low! One can make any emotion into a creative force in one's life. If your sadness reminds you that you are incomplete, it is good; make use of your sadness to grow. But, when you get sad, if you are going to get irritable and angry, and think that the whole world is wrong, you are a fool. Do you want to make this sadness into anger, or into love and compassion? It is very easy to become compassionate when you are sad. It is already a dissolving kind of energy; you can use it for further dissolution which leads you to your ultimate wellbeing.

    • Choose a Joyful Rat Race Everything that a human being does is only in pursuit of joy. So whether you are racing with the rats or with the dinosaurs – if that is your choice, why don’t you do it joyfully? If you believe that when the race stops, or when you fall out of it, or when you are incapable of racing, you will be joyful, then this is an argument for living miserably. Joy is not about what you do and what you do not do. Joy is about how you are within yourself. If only your mind and emotion happened the way you want, if they were taking instructions from you, you would definitely keep yourself joyful

    • Remember Your Morning Smile When you get up in the morning, the first thing you should do is smile. At whom? No one. Because just the fact that you woke up is not a small thing. So many millions of people who slept last night did not wake up today, but you and me woke up. Is it not great that you woke up? So smile because you woke up. Then look around and if there is someone, smile at them. For so many people, someone dear to them did not wake up today morning. Everyone who is dear to you woke up – Wow! It is a great day, isn’t it? Then go out and take a look at the trees. They did not die last night either. When so many people did not wake up and the loved ones of so many others did not wake up, you and your loved ones woke up. Is it not a fantastic event? Appreciate it and smile at least.

    • Set Reminders to Check Your Aliveness Once an hour, give yourself a reminder of the value of life. If you are very insensitive, remind yourself every half an hour. If you are horribly insensitive, remind yourself every five minutes. It takes only ten seconds to remind yourself. You could do it in just two seconds too – “I’m alive; you’re alive. What more?”

    • Be Physically Actice It has become a common phenomenon in society that people are in some level of mental imbalance. When you involve yourself intensely in physical activity, you work out a lot of your neuroses because your nervous energy is used; but modern man has become more inactive than ever before. The lack of activity causes restlessness and agitation in the body, which may become a physiological disease in some people. But you can see that people who are involved in high levels of sports activity – say, a mountain climber – because they physically utilize themselves fully, are on a different level of balance and peace.

    • Eat The Right Food The type of food we eat has a huge impact on the mind. Meat provides concentrated nourishment, but it should not be a daily food that you eat when there are other choices. One thing is animals have the intelligence to know in the last few moments that they are going to get killed. This means when you kill an animal, the chemicals released in fear of death are in the meat. When you consume the meat, it creates unnecessary levels of mental fluctuations. If you put people who are on antidepressants on a conscious vegetarian diet, in about three months’ time, most of them will not need their medication anymore.

    • Don't Compare Yourself with Anyone  Most people are miserable not because of what they do not have – it is simply because they are comparing themselves with someone else. You are driving a motorbike; you see someone in a Mercedes, and you make yourself miserable. If someone on a bicycle sees you on a motorbike, it is a limousine for him. Someone walking on the street looks at the bicycle and thinks, “Wow, if I just had that, what I would have done with my life!” It is a foolish game that is going on endlessly. All those people who depend on external situations to be happy will never know true joy in their lives. It is definitely time we look inward and see how to create personal wellbeing.

    • Take Small Steps Towards Self-Transformation Crying about things that you cannot change is a sure strategy to remain at status quo. At least once a month, consciously look at this and identify one small thing about yourself that you want to change. Like, “Every time before I eat, I will spend 10 seconds in gratitude for this food which is going to become a part of me.” Or, “Every time I use anything that is an essential element of my life, like the soil, the water, the air, and everything else around me, I will save 1% of it.” Or, “I will see to it that I only put on my plate what I can eat.” These small things will change your life and set you apart.
